Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to take a step towards successfully retaining the MotoGP world title by winning the
Thailand MotoGP.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider secured a podium spot at the 2023 Australian MotoGP on 22 October having started on the third grid.
Bagnaia started well and he went on to finish second behind his teammate Johann Zarco which saw the former collect 20 points
Standings
The man nicknamed Pecco is still placed at the top of the riders' standings having accumulated 366 points from 16 races.
Pecco is 27 points ahead of second-placed Jorge Martin of Ducati with four races left having entered the business end of the current season.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2023 Thailand MotoGP
The reigning MotoGP world champion finished third in last season's Thailand MotoGP behind Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira.
Bagnaia will be confident of going two steps forward and win the race which would see him edge closer to retaining his world championship.
What did he say?
"It was a race in which I had to be calm because I knew the soft tyre wouldn’t last and finally everything was perfect," Bagnaia said after the recent Australian MotoGP.
"Points are always fundamental, now we have 27 on Martin, things can change very quickly so we must be very careful and understand perfectly what is going on.
"There are four and a half races left so it will be important to remain constant every time.”
